| TROI has been a band for 17 years now, having begun our Creak Rockin' business in 1993 under the original name 'drinking coffee from counselor troi's head'. Since then we have recorded many bits of music, broken lots of stuff, caused many a face to frown, got kicked out and banned from clubs, and changed our band name to just 'TROI'. With a membership that has changed many times over our 17 years, the band line-up now consists of 3 of the band's original founders (Jared Butler, Ken Lantz, and Cory Thrall). | EXPLAIN THE NAME |
| We were in a mad search for a name and, one day at a video store, we (Jared and Cory) saw one of those molded collector's mugs. I'm pretty sure they only had a few different characters - all from Star Trek the Next Generation show - and one of us, seeing the Troi mug, said "heh - drinking coffee from counselor troi's head...". We laughed, and it was the band's name for our first 16 years. now we're just called TROI. |
