| This three-piece from Lisbon, Portugal, has become renown for their
intensely visceral, sometimes even chaotic live shows. Following in the
tracks of great reggae-influenced rock groups such as The Clash, The
Police or Bad Brains, the band delivers a highly contagious mix of
dub/reggae dance grooves and noisy sonic grit without ever sounding
derivative.
Feeling equally at home with both experimental ambient dub and head
banging rock, the band has opened for a variety of classic acts. Playing
alongside reggae all-time-greats such as Max Romeo or the Skatalites,
in big-stage festivals with giants like Sonic Youth, Pj Harvey or the Cure,
or in small sweaty basement bars, Three and a Quarter have earned their
merits playing the underground and alternative circuits of Portugal, Spain,
France and the USA. |
