The Squintz is a punk rock band that was formed in mid 2009 by Caio (guitar / vocals), Moa (guitar / vocals), Hery (Bass) and Sonic (drums) and, with just over two months of rehersals , entered the studio and produced a promo CD titled "Violent World" (copies of this promo are still available).Influenced by classic British punk rock bands like The Vibrators, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, The Jam and Satan's Rats and even by punk bands like Lower Class Brats and The Briefs, the band has been positively reviewed their work by the punk rockers both in the Brazil's punk scene as other countries (The Squintz will release a split CD with a Portuguese band).An album with 11 tracks of The Squintz is being produced in partnership between the labels Alea Records and Casa Punk Records and will be released in the second half of 2010.
