THE BLISSETTS are an anti-political punk band that formed in Watford (UK) in 2005. Released the Destruction Day DIY CD Single in September 2005. Title track appeared on 'The Harder, The Better' Vol 11 from US label Turkey Vulture Records in April 2006.
The original line up split in March 2006.
Not wanting to let a good thing die, vocalist Paul recruited Arup (ex-The Astronauts) on Guitar and a few other bods and THE BLISSETTS returned in August 2007 to headline the 'Idiot Punkfest'.
More gigs followed in 2008, which even saw THE BLISSETTS support legendary streetpunks Argy Bargy. More gigs followed in 2009, along with the recruitment of Ed and Ajay, and the band once again becoming regulars on the London gig circuit.
THE BLISSETTS are soon to record 'Liars, Cheats, Thieves and Politicians' and it will be released in time for the General Election in the UK. The powers-that-be need to be made aware of just what a bunch of half-heads they really are, tossers!
A new EP is also planned for the summer of 2010.
