src="http: //img150.imageshack.us/img150/1595/dharmapunxcoverpm9.jpg" border="0" alt="Image Hosted by ImageShack.us"/>I was given this book by a close friend of mine whom throughout the years has been an immense help both emotionally and monetarily and lately most importantly spiritually. I was at the end of my rope and quite close to taking my own life either through alcohol and drug overdose or by another means. After my latest failed attempt I was offered the chance to check into an indigent detox where I started my sobriety 42 days ago. I had been interested in Buddhism for some time now but really didn't know how to approach it. My friend had recently gotten into some Buddhist practices and had stumbled across Noah's book and after reading it passed it onto me. Although she was not able to identify with the author I found many similarities in our lives and was able to relate to his experiences and feelings. This book has given me inspiration and hope that I may have otherwise not had through just attending AA. While I am still working the 12 steps and attending meetings I also am keeping an open mind toward integrating some of the things mentioned in his book. I am inspired and would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a spark of hope or something more. Thank you Noah.
