Live punk bands - any and all, but especially Drongos For Europe, Police Bastard, Riot Squad, The Hyenas, Outl4w, Dogsflesh, Mouthguard, and so many more! I like it hard, fast and loud Punk is the mainstay as far as I'm concerned, but what you just call "punk" in the US, we call "Alternative" here..and that's what I am, Alternative...I listen to a WIDE variety of Alternative music subgenres; metal [black/death/grindcore/shock/glam], goth [nu/trad/rock/glam], EBM/Darkwave, Industrial, 60s/80s Ska, Skinhead/Oi, Psychobilly/Rockabilly, Horror Punk. As well as that lot, I love the Doors, Motown, proper rock n roll and even Johnny Cash, lol. I don't believe in limiting myself to what I listen to, if I had done this over the years I would have stagnated by now and left the Alternative scene - something I'm not planning on doing just yet...

Too young to have been a "first generation" punk, I was 10 in 1977, and a sentient child who adored the "fire" of punk as it happened. My friends' brothers and all my neighbours at the time were punk, and they amazed me; I loved how they looked, their attitudes and just everything about them! I was brought up by biker/rocker parents; my dad is as eccentric today as he was then. The influence punk had on my life from those days has stayed with me - to my detriment sometimes... I currently DJ at one of the local Alternative pubs in Birmingham City Centre (Costers - in case there's other Brummies reading this), and am working with another City Centre pub (The Black Horse) with a view to DJ'ing there and promote local/smaller bands who are just building up a following. I knock around with a group of like-minded individuals, who are all Alternative in their wn way, and I love them for who they all are! I've never been married coz that lifestyle is just not for me. I do, however have a 22 year old son. I wouldn't swap him for the world. That's about it for now with this section >:-)
