Welcome to SeeofSound, the place for all your music-related audio-visual needs and desires...
As
fans of all genres of music, we realize the importance of seeing what
we’re hearing. Yes, it's true that music is an aural sensation, but we
believe it can be best enjoyed when combined with a visual element.
There’s nothing quite like an incredible performance, or an insane
concert… Nothing can be so nostalgic. And the next best thing to
reliving that moment, or experiencing a moment you weren’t able to, is
with a Music DVD. That's why we created SeeofSound, the ultimate Music
DVD resource.
For example, the popularity of punk has grown
significantly over the last 20 years. How many people can actually say
they got to see the Bad Brains perform at CBGB in 1982? Certainly not
those of us 30 and younger! So, in that case, something like the Bad
Brains "Live at CBGB 1982" would serve as an incredible artifact for
those of us curious to see and hear what an awesome night (or 3 nights)
it must have been. And if someone was lucky enough to see the Bad
Brains in their heyday, they'd probably want to relive that moment in
time…
There are loads of examples we could give you, but it’s
quite unnecessary now that you found your way to us. So come on in,
check it out, and find what you’ve been missing
A classic punk rock movie from 1980 starring Richard Hell, illustrating
the end of the first wave of New York City punk rock better than any
documentary. Nada (Carole Bouquet), a beautiful French journalist on
assignment in New York, records the life and work of an up and coming
punk rock star, Billy (Richard Hell). Soon she enters into a volatile
relationship with him and must decide whether to continue with it, or
return to her lover, a fellow journalist trying to track down the
elusive Andy Warhol (playing himself). Featuring members of the
Voidoids and the Ramones. This long lost film is like a time capsule
from pre-Disneynification New York City: sleazy, dirty and most
importantly, real. Includes a lengthy new interview with Hell about the
film and more. "This is a priceless package. The real burnt-out New
York in January and February 1978, the Voidoids live at CBGB, Ed
Lachman's cinematography, Elliot Goldenthal's sound track, Carole
Bouquet's face, my lithe figure, Andy Warhol to break your heart, Luc
Sante demonically extracting the ugly truths from me re: the horror of
it all (bonus feature which is better than the movie itself)...unique.
Spring for it." - Richard Hell
D.O.A. Canada's legendary punks and the progenitors of hardcore punk
have produced an extraordinary DVD that covers the band's 30 year
career. An incredible collection of songs and punk/activist stories.
The anniversary DVD also includes as a bonus, D.O.A.'s critically
acclaimed new album Northern Avenger, produced by the legendary Bob
Rock. The album has received rave reviews around the world. There is
