I'm optimistic that learned behaviors can be unlearned and that the human mind will continue to adapt to the environment it's subjected to. People only fear things they don't understand, which is rational, but ignorant none the less. I'm reminded of the Rocky Balboa (2006) movie where the champion says "I don't get scared" and then rocky says to his kid "You know, I think you try harder when you're scared." It seems fear is necessary for fighting effectively, so I would say fear can be transcended if fighting can be too. what do you think?
