When Crise Total was put on hold for the 1st time in the end of '88 as the band members were trying new soundz and all of them were now also a bit tired of 5 years of constant up-tempo beats it was decided then to find a new name for a new project and when the time came,if it came they could always get back to their roots,meaning Crise Total,after a debate between the main band members the band settled on PROFILAXIA(from the greek word meaning to prevent or to combat something).The sound itself was more akin to Post-Punk but as usual they werent too concerned with labeling the sound as to putting the same message across as previously(mostly the Anarcho-pacifist cause) but this time round with a slightly different and slower sound.Profilaxia didnt last that long,in fact Manolo left for other pastures after just one year and the band persevered 'til '92/'93 but it was obvious that without the original front-man things werent meant to last and they didnt,as a record of their short existance a couple of live gigs were recorded at that famous Lisbon venue(Rock Rendez-Vous) and already after Manolo had left the band a few 4-track demos were done with his replacement(Rui Mofreita) and a second guitarrist was also absorbed into the band.On the player we'll have a couple of the live tracks and one of the 4-track songs.
