BAND BIO

Hopeless Otis is a punk band from Queens, New York City. Forming in July 2009. Playing a brand of positive punk rock, they aim to make things better and sing about solutions instead of complaining about problems.  In January of 2010, they released their first EP, titled "Something Positive." After a much needed break, Hopeless Otis is now back together and released their debut album "A Better Place To Be" in July 2011.

EXPLAIN THE NAME
While sitting around in Eddie's house, the three were talking about Otis Spunkmeyer's cookies. Larry was on Eddies computer and typed "Otis" into a band name generator and "Hopeless Otis" came out. Riveting tale, indeed!

Hello Hopeless Otis, we really dig the tunes. Hopefully we can share the stage someday. Thanks for checking out our profile, and giving us the add. We are currently working on new material, so we hope to have them recorded and uploaded sooner than later. Surge and I (Venereal) were in a band called The Black Tomb and you can hear our music on www.myspace.com/theblacktomb to get an idea of the ferocity of what are sound can be, but Mr. E and the Filthy Devils is a very diverse and dynamic project, but at least you will get a sense of our sound. yeah... It's  been busy here. Its starting to slow down a bit. My step-son's birthday is next month but that's about it that I know of so far.

 SOrry I haven't been on... My step kids moved in, my cousin passed away, the holidays, a severe kidney infection, moving twice in a month, lack of internet, and a surgery has kept me busy.How are you?
