BAND BIO
Hopeless Otis is a punk band from Queens, New York City. Forming in July 2009, the band consists of Joe Dorane (vocals/guitar), Larry Spahn (bass/vocals), and Eddie Kalinowski (drums). In January of 2010, they released their first EP, titled "Something Positive" and are currently playing shows around the NYC area.

INFLUENCES
Bouncing Souls, The Clash, Dropkick Murphy's, Social Distortion, Latterman!, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Hot Water Music, The Lawrence Arms.

EXPLAIN THE NAME
While sitting around in Eddie's house, the three were talking about Otis Spunkmeyer's cookies. Larry was on Eddies computer and typed "Otis" into a band name generator and "Hopeless Otis" came out. Riveting tale, indeed!

well, it's not entirely for sure yet since i'm not the one in charge the fest. but it should be cool since it's a 2 day fest and i'm friends with the guy setting it up. it's a anti-sexist fest too, just to let you know. i don't think it'll be much of a problem, but if you guys have any rape/sexist themes (even if done in satire) i won't be able to get you on the fest.

i wanted to see if you guys would be able to do it, but don't make any plans just yet. i'll let him know you guys can play, and he'll decide which day to put you guys on for. as soon as i get a for sure from my friend, i'll confirm it with you guys.
