I am not in a band at present. Have spent the last year discouraging, to put it lightly, those who have tried to entrap me in playing the extremely undesirable and untenable b.s. that can make you a little money while rotting the remainder of your being. In the event that I do manage to piece a band together, this site will jump off the shelf and wet itself.

Do you really need another limited and opinionated list of someone else's favorite bands and artists? Probably most of you either grew up with this music, or hopefully, have done your own research and listening. After all, it is about LISTENING to music, not impressing another self-infatuated fool in the world. RIGHT? Having ranted on that point, I'm happy to shoot the shit over music. I've been a player since I was a kid and even attempted (as in "failed") to graduate in order to study and teach courses in ethnomusicology, because I basically love the whole beautiful pile. Hell, I might actually be able to inform you of something you don't know, or haven't yet realized - and if you still insist on some inane list, I'll sell you one!

The Ultimate Poseur     It's giving a construct, an embedded illusion, the so called world you supposedly live in. It's got it's teeth in the body's ass and won't, can't let go. What am I referring to? Do you even have the interest to know? It's conning an entire species and you are based in it. You don't want to know because you depend on it to solve all the problems that it's creating and it will offer solution after solution, after solution. It's thought and it's not your friend. You want something else but that is it. The end of it, as an operating system, as the world's quintessential totalitarian fascist, is what the body is struggling to come to. Where are "you" in all of this?

Wish I had more of these audio files to upload, but I can't seem to find a means of downloading them, or even locate those I had. There are vintage punk files from U.S.. U.K. and several other countries at, along with many other links at:          http://killedbydeath.org/          if anyone's interested

If there's one thing that seems to stick with me from listen to Utah Phillips, it's that musical talents seem to start in the home. They are passed down through the generation, from family member to family member. I think that's part of what keeps old songs alive, learning them from our elders. I think this passing down of knowledge is what keeps "The Long Memory" alive.

Bloomberg banned food donations to homeless shelters 11/9/2012

Mayor Michael Bloomberg in March instituted a ban on food donations to homeless shelters. No, not because of food contamination, but because the city can’t properly assess salt, fat and fiber in donated food and thereby ensure starving people are getting the optimal levels of nutrition. Can’t have dumpy-looking homeless people on the streets! We knew Bloomberg was a health nut, but maybe he’s just anti-food? Maybe put this one to a vote — it’s hard to imagine what harm fresh soup and bagels (two items that have already been turned away) could do to a hungry person.

Just finished watching "The Punk Rock Movie". For those who don't happen to know it, this is an 8mm effort by D.J. Don Lett. This rare footage account of the famous Roxy Punk tenure in London, circa 1978 lasted a mere 10 months, yet it was the sole host to numerous Punk bands. No high def look, with low-fi sound throughout, but vital for recapturing, or understanding U.K. punk scene - Clash, Pistols, Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, Generation X, Slaughter and the Dogs, Slits, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Eater, Subway Sect, X-Ray Spex, Alternative TV and Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeTX_E_ldc4 ... as well as Pirate Bay ... Be prepared for absolutely smashing, maximum shitty quality viewing! ;)
