| BAND BIO |
In the early 90's in Northern Ontario, kids were inspired by the
alternative, grunge, and punk rock movements to form bands, record their
own albums, form small labels, and put on local punk rock shows.
Cragmatic Pope was one of those bands. Hailing from a small mining town
called Kirkland Lake, the band recorded 2 tapes (that's right kids
tapes) "Disappear Today", which was recorded in a small 8-track studio in 1995, and "Get Away From That Fish", which was produced by Austin on a 4-track in Jasmine's basement in 1996.
Roughly 50 copies of "Disappear Today", and 125 copies of "Get Away From
That Fish" were pressed. MP3s ripped from an old tape found their way
onto the interweb in 2009. After Cragmatic Pope Austin, Jasmine, and Ryan formed a band called Groundstate. Shane formed The Deefons ( www.punkrockers.com/thedeefons ) |
