| BAND BIO |
Boredom originally formed in 1995 in Blackburn Lancashire. Band name taken from one of the greatest punk songs of all time, by the Buzzcocks.Signed to Abstract Records in 1998 released Seditionaries Revisited E.P, recorded a full album, never released. Gigged all over Britain including London support slots with Menace and the UK Subs. Split 2001. ........................................................................... ........... Reformed with original members late 2003 adding Andy on rhythm guitar, played highly successful support slots in 2004 with Menace and the UK Subs amongst others and recently went down a storm in front of a 400 strong crowd as warm up for Sham 69 . The band have also supported TV Smith, 999 (on numerous Occasions) The Lurkers etc....................................... In April 2006 a new line up was put together for the first spit & sawdust tour in came Andy F (x Icemen ) on Bass and Andy C (Bobby Dazzlers) on drums. This saw Boredom at their most productive, completing more gigs in 9 months than ever before in the entire history of the band, creating a new growing fan base along the way. In December 2006 Dani dropped a bombshell by announcing he was leaving the band at the ensd of the year due to family commitments. The remaining members of the band decided to carry on and recruited Brian Barnes aka Slutcher (Uk Subs bass player) on vocals this coupled with the return of ex potential threat drummer Ersy means the spirit of the band will continue in 2007 and onwards. "One of the best 77 style live bands that I have seen over the last couple of years, pure British Punk Rock. Do yourself a favour check them out live" - Roy Heskleth Editor Pogo Til I Die Fanzine |
