hmmm... why the name "punk is dead"? it's not an homage to crass... I was feeling nostalgiac for those early days in the late 70s and early 80s when we felt like we were really doing something new and dynamic and brave, so I went crawling on the web for things that would spark memories of those warm days in "the scene", and I come across ads for hot topic and this site, where there's ads for ready made instant punk rock duds... just add angst... yeh, punk is dead. It died way back when all you had to do was shave the sides of your head, stick something through your skin and don a pair of doc martens and be instantly identified by all and sundry down at the mall as punk rock... punk died when creativity became a non requisite.
