Rancid & Lower Class Brats in Austin

Rancid & Lower Class Brats, Austin, TX @ LaZona Rosa 613/08 

I've been a Rancid fan since high school and was very excited to have the chance to see them play here in Austin. Honestly I've never had the chance to see them perform before. (Sorry I'm not as cool as you other punk rock assholes!) Aside from the longtime school girl crush I've had on Tim Armstrong the band music has continued to me in my top favorites for over 10 years.The show's lineup started out slow with a band that I cannot remember the name of. My sleepy mood was saved when the Lower Class Brats took the stage and quickly picked up the moral of the entire audience. I discovered this band shortly after arriving in Austin and I think they kick ass. I'm looking forward to seeing them play again on July 25 @ Red 7. For my Cali friends, I highly recommend that you check these guys out!Of course I thought Rancid's performance was golden!! They're an old standby that I never tire of and now that I've seen Tim Armstrong in person I still wanna practice making babies with him! Yeah you read that right....My biggest complaint about the show was that I was too damn short. For some reason every tall fucker in the building felt like he needed to stand in front of me and I spent the whole time trying desperately to stretch my body as tall as it would go and peek over shoulders and between heads.
