so punkz, what is up? are we keeping it real or selling out to the man? are we bashing the skulls of the thieves and liars in our undergound scenes or have just accepted their existence in our lives? punk can be more than a reflected mimic of mainstream society. we can reject all that bullshit and build something new. we all know the beauty of punk is that there are no rules, which also means no limits. we've got to think about what we really want in a scene and then make it happen. i think we need more free spaces to gather and create things, whether it's a gig, a picnic, a DIY workshop, or just hanging out, swapping tapes (or um, CD-Rs), telling tales, or working on tactics. i encourage punks to grow and accept change for the betterment of our self-defined punk lifestyles. we have seen what punks have done in the past, both negative and positive. let's build something that mainstream society can't co-opt and rise above their rotting social standards. anybody into moving forward can hit me up at the TMSC profile. I am thinking on starting a group in regards to punk progressions or we can just associate without a label. either way, let's discuss what we can do to sustain and celebrate our culture, damn it! -Jasen.
