Blitzkrieg formed in Southport in 1981. The first release was 'The Future Must Be Ours' which featured on the 'A Country fit For Heroes' compilation on No Future Records. This Led to a record deal with No Future and the release of the 'Lest We Forget' EP in 1982. The next year saw a change of label, and the release of the 'Animals In Lipstick' EP on Sexual Phonograph Records. The band split in 1984, and reformed in 1991 to release 'The Future Must Be Ours' LP before again, splitting until.. THAT'S ENOUGH OF THE PAST, HERE'S TO THE FUTURE The band reformed in 2007 to play at the Rebellion Festival and are back with a new line up, which is the best line-up to date.FUTUREWe are currently working on a new album "EVERYTHING IS LIES" which will be released in mid 2008, ahead of an appearance at Rebellion Festival 08. THE PUNK ROCK REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN and the twelve tracks are nearing completion to be unleashed on an unsuspecting, apathetic, materialistic public. Some of the early mixes can be found on this site.
