SOUNDS LIKE: V.O.A. has played almost 500 shows in 6 years of existence. Playing in the Chicago area and hitting the pavement every weekend as well as many long tours every year. Currently working on our 4th release in between tour dates with boutique studio Stranded on a Planet and producer Scott Fritz. Signed with publicist team Just Rock PR and distro with Hell City Records. In Europe publicity through Dr Music PR and distro through Plastic Head. We believe in cooperation and working together, not just in music but in life. We do show trades and operate like the punk bands in the early 80's. Getting stuff done! We host the Chicago Punk Rock Night and are also the go-to band in the area for benefits and fundraisers.

Voice Of Addiction takes on the attitude the the punk rock revolution instilled in us, but infuses it with genre-mashing breakdowns. Sometimes described as a "unique refreshing slant to the rock world." Voice Of Addiction's members put their distinct personalities and experiences into the instruments they play and the music they write. V.O.A.'s music has an immense presence that builds tension and releases it at the most opportune times.

Fugazi, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, Pixies, Against Me! Tiger Army, Operation Ivy, The Slackers, At the Drive-in, Dead Milkmen, Queens Of The Stone Age, New Model Army, List goes on and on.......

We are all addicted, in the greater sense of the word. This includes not only drugs and alcohol. Also religion, sex, TV, caffiene, cell phones, internet, myspace, chocolate, can go on forever. We are the disenchanted voice,.

*DW, Pacific and Pearl Drums, Zildgan and sabian cymbals. Vic Firth sticks, Warwick bass, Ampeg Svt-4 pro and full stack. Gibson SG guitar, marshall amps, mesaboogie, Randall half stack, Shure Mics, Monster cables, Swr

So, the Brickwall Vultures were on first, then? (I wish it was The CROMBIES who went on first. Them, I WOULDN'T mind missing. I find them to be a phenomenal waste of my time! Maybe if 99/9% of there set were ORIGINALS INSTEAD OF COVERS, I might like them more! Geeze even EATER not only knew when to rope it in, at least when they did covers, they DIDN'T sound like the original song. They at least went out of their way to make that song their own!) Oh, well. Maybe next time. (Keep me informed as of when you'll have those patches available again)

Sorry I missed your set last night. Got there too late. I didn't see any "Dove" patches. Do you still have any available? (You guys went on first, right?)

I know I'm a week late, but good set on New Years at The Mutiny. I need to hang out there more often and book me some more shows there. (I actually played there once) Hope the new year is treating everybody well.

I'll send him some stuff. I though he may have been connected to the links you posted which are in PA.

Thanx for the info, but I was thinking of something local. Thanks once again. I appreciate the help.

Let me know if you need me as an opening act this holiday season. The Bumpus Hounds were trying to arrange for some holiday concert, but I haven't heard back from them yet. I have a whole slew of Holiday songs in my arsenal, and I work cheap. (I might even do it for free in the name of Holiday spirit, and all that crap)

DKs are good, but Jello's voice is hard to imitate. LOL!

Yeah, well, the band has 10 albums, so that can be hard, but I'm glad you stuck to the early stuff, cos, in my opinion, that's the best. (I'm one of those who turned away from them after London Calling, but that's just my personal tastes)
