The Hold Up, a somewhat new band playing old punk, started around the fall of 06. Wes, (singer for the Drugs), Stevo (crazy about unicorns)& Johnny Jailbird (getfiddle from NoWayOut) wanted to start a 77 punk band. Johnny eventually dropped out of the band and Stevo (who was way more interested in unicorns than bass playing) need a new bass. So a trip to the pawn shop and the band was born. A few months later they got Zack (professional slacker) and Chuy (former drummer of Clockwork Bully) to join the band. And so, like on a mission from God, they seeked out the punk scene of Richmond VA and started playing shows. With fast songs and dark sunglasses, they captured the attention of many people and bands in the RVA punk scene. After almost a year, the excellent druming of Senior Chuy was replaced by his long time amigo Mr. Twotone Johnny. The Hold Up will miss the stylings of Chuy, but Johnny filled in just right, so now the band is back on track. So far, after playing for a year they've released their first 7inch (without the help of a lable, of course) and they are constantly looking for new shows and working on new horrific fan-fucking-tastic songs.  And.. yea, that's about it.
