| The HandMe Downs hail from Detroit. The band started in the summer of 2005. After about 8 months of shows an e.p. and a drunken night, Oliver (Bass) and Ricky (Guitar) decided they didn't want to continue. Throughout the summer of 2006 the search for a bass and guitar player was dim until Bob (guitar) and Eric (bass) joined in Nov 2006. After the line-up change was solidified The HandMe Downs hit the stage once again in January 2007. Since then they have been one of the hardest working bands in the region, playing whenever and where ever possible. The HandMe Downs embarked on their first tour during the summer of 2007.
Upon returning from tour, The HandMe Downs went into the studio and laid down 12 tracks which will make up their as of yet untitled full length album. A little more work and some cash flow and the album will be out. It is estimated to be released around the 2008 New Year.
We are here for one goal, to bring some straight up punk back into the Detroit scene!
