A lot of stuff can be said about The Barrels, but not much have been said yet, as the band formed on a hazy night of summer 2007. After a fairly presentable amount of beers and an unknown number of whiskys, Petter and Jon laid down the columns of what were to be The Barrels very rule of existence: Play fast! Play hard and have a fuckin’ Blast!!! Ronni became the man with the sticks and in a songwriting frenzy of one month, the band had made 10 new hard kickin’ new songs and was ready for their first gig at Radio Nova’s summerfest. It’s only shot one direction after that. A reinforcement was done on the guitar side and Mia soon joined the band, making Oslo’s meanest quartet ready for action. More songs were written and the band’s first demo saw the light of night later that fall. "3 nights in Satan’s bar" consisted of 5 of the bands hard hittin’, in your face highspeed rock’n roll tracks. The demo soon made way for The Barrels to support bands like Toxic Holocaust at Club Maiden and for English Orange Goblin at John Dee. More concerts are on the way and we’re ready as Hell!
