| BAND BIO |
Since the year 2000 Rock and Roll DareDevils have been providing quality music that true fans of high energy music will always enjoy. Formed by guitarist Gregor Kramer, following a stint with seminal punk rock godfathers the Vibrators, out of the ashes of the short lived Chicago punk heros the Felons; with guitarist Dr. Bob of Vindictives fame. The first collection of songs (Amazing Tales) was recorded completely by Gregor (with solo guitar assistance from Dr. Bob) under several namesakes that he has used with various artists throughout the years. As the record was nearing completion the quest to put a band together became the priority. The first show featured Gregor on Guitar and Vox, Dr. Bob on Guitar, Jaime Welton on Bass Guitar and Dan Detrinis on Drums. A handful of shows and a short demo were completed during this time when the band went through multiple drummers to complete a steady lineup. Finally Greg Anderson was found to complete the rhythm section and the assault of shows continued. Unfortunately Dr. Bob was painfully and silently (although not as secretly as he might have thought) suffering through his drug addiction at that time and his death put a long delay in the impetus set forth by the band in the first few years. After a short quest for another second guitarist it was decided to move forward as a trio. Another lineup change with the departure of Jaime slowed things as well and luckily the band was able to recruit Rudy Kleiner for Bass guitar duty. the recording of a second album (Before You Die) was begun about a year after but production was halted when Gregor took time to help long time friends and punk legends Murphy's Law on guitar for tours of Europe and the east coast. When someone like Jimmy Gestapo asks for your help with a tour it's hard to say no and so another delay required the release to again be postponed. Since Gregor's return recording has been completed and the final faze of production is underway. R.R.D.D has continued to tear up stages around the midwest and will always provide a home for Kick Ass Rock and Roll. |
