Living in Denial first formed in the summer of 1996. At the time the band members were, Mike (Big Sexxy) Denial on guitar, Joey V., the lead singer (And head asshole) of the band, Josh McNutt (Now with The Sykes) on bass, and Anthony Durso on drums, while this formation of the band did play many shows, and record a long, out-of-print four song demo, Josh and Anthony would leave the band for greener pastures, Joe and Mike would press on. While the members have changed quite often in those years, the two would find a dedicated bassest in Patrick (The Sweez) Sweasey. Playing many more shows would be the key to their success, Headlining at underage shows and playing with the likes of Oxymoron, The Casualties, The Lower Class Brats, The Devotchkas, The New York Rel-x, The GC5, The Boils, and Violent Society. The band was getting known for their over-the-top stage presence and outlandish actions (Which culminated into a near riot outside the Killtime!). During this time, the band would release their first full length album, "The President Don't Mean Shit To Me", and an E.P., "Living in Denial Falls in Love". The Fall in Love E.P. was recorded at Creep Studios, and is still considered the bands magnum opus, it was played on 94wysp for many months, and a review from Dr. Dickie at wkdu radio would give the band its moniker of "cocaine-fueled booze punk". So here it is in 2006(now 2007), and the band is still playing, and writing a brand new album. What's the secret to their longevity, you ask? It could be their ravenous fan base (which Joe called his "Flock"), or just plain insanity. But in either case, were all much better off having them around.
