Laut, hart, rotzig und schnell, so muss gescheiter Hardcore Punk sein, sonst ist das nix. Es scheint auch noch Bands zu geben, die dieses Prinzip von Grund auf verstanden haben. Guter, handgemachter, thrashiger 80er Jahre Hardcore, das pinkeln INSTANT ASSHOLE förmlich gegen den Wind. Diese CD wurde bereits 2005 auf TANKCRIMES RECORDS veröffentlicht, warum habe ich dieses Prachtstück erst jetzt in die Finger bekommen? John The Baker brüllt die Songs so fantastisch aggressiv dreckig ins Mikro, dass man schon in den ersten Sekunden beim Hören dieser CD im heimischen Wohnzimmer beginnt, das Sitzmöbel aus der Zimmermitte zu rücken, um mit Vollgas einen Moshpit zu eröffnen. DEAD KENNEDIES, MDC und die guten alten DIRTY ROTTEN IMBECILES tanzen darauf einen beinharten Ringelrein, das steht fest. Zu dem liegt auch hier in der Kürze die Würze, 16 Songs in 16 Minuten und zwei Sekunden, wobei „Satan“ mit 1 Minute und 37 Sekunden schon fast eine epische Länge aufweist und sich regelrecht im Ohr fest beißt. Fantastisch!

Loud, hard, dirty und fast, that’s how good hardcore punk gotta be. There are still bands which understand that principle! Great handmade eighties hardcore, that’s what Instant Asshole pissing against the wind. This record has already been released on Tankcrime Records in 2005 – so why didn’t I listen to it before?! John The Baker is shouting those songs so fantastic aggressive into the mike that everyone is starting a moshpit in his livingroom after the first few seconds of this record! Dead Kennedys, MDC and the good old D. R. I. are mixed into this record, that’s for sure. Brevity is the soul of wit – 16 songs in 16 minutes and 2 seconds, where the song “Satan” with 1 minute and 37 seconds nearly got epical lengths and bites itself into your ears. Fantastic!

Almost like the stuff dreams sre made out of right? Dream no more kiddies, because Instant Asshole are hear to make your dreams reality and deliver on the promise. Seriously, Im starting to feel like a greedy kid with no self restraint this issue, so many great records and so little time to listen to all of them.
