Brian Jones and Kc IdoL met through their babies' mamas, after hittin' up a Casualties/Time Again show. They started writing music together, and realized they had one more chance at this music thing before they got freakin' old. Joined on bass by Brian's also old friend Kevin Gherity, they had 3 fourths of a band, and after writing five politically charged songs together they decided to find a drummer. Kyle Shrek, also old, was quickly converted to punk rock after Brian crammed a couple of Daniel Quinn books down his throat. After only a month of the quartet started jamming together, Idol's End began cranking out their four song demo ep Idol's End Does Pro Tools. Immediately afterward, Idol's End booked their debut performance and packed AKA Lounge and didn't get paid shit for it.
But Idol's End really only began there. Brian had to double track his guitars on the ep, which left something lacking for the live performances. After trying out a couple of hippies, they met Carlos Estoves. Carlos' is young, but his old-school straight ahead rock n' roll guitar was the perfect complement to Brian's ska-upstrokes. The new five piece played a couple of shows at Odin's Den and Backbooth, until sadly, Kevin left the band for financial reasons.
Thankfully this young kid named Sack had been hanging around the band since they met Carlos. He already knew half of words to the songs and had been playing the bass a bit lately. After only two weeks of practice, Sack was ready to play out live.
Idol's End has been tearing up Orlando's punk/ska scene in the short while they've been together, leaving few venues suitable for such extreme showmanship untapped. Currently they are balancing their barrage of shows with recording themselves at Fullsail. Check out their live shows for a truely "in your face" punk/ska rock show.
