In 2004, five people joined together to form apunk-rock band after finding each other on theInternet. They met and quickly realized they weresearching for the same thing musically. It was at thatmoment that the band was born.The members include: Niels (vocals), Mario (drums,vocals), Kalle (bass, vocals), Andi (guitar, vocals), Hensch(second guitarist). The influences of music differ foreach member of the band, but somehow their tastes cametogether to form a fresh, explosive and vibrantmixture. The band has a sound similar to 80s and 90sGerman punk-rock with unusual melodies, singingpolitical, society-critical sensitive lyrics withsense and understanding.In November 2004, D.A.S. went to the K-Klang Studio torecord the first demo CD "Schachmatt" that containedfour tracks and soon after played their first gig.2005 brought change for D.A.S. Hensch, the secondguitarist, decided to leave the band due to musicaldifferences. To this day, Hensch still remain friendswith D.A.S. and operates the band's homepage. D.A.S.searched for a new second guitarist, but had no luckin finding one. Even though they currently play withone guitarist, the band's sound has actually becomestronger & more unique, consequently heading in thedirection of what D.A.S was searching for originally.2006 was a much better year for D.A.S! We spent twoweeks at K-Klang Studio and recorded seventeen tracks.D.A.S. searched for a record label then, but wasunable to secure one. When the band decided to do italone, Dreck-Rec was born. On their own label, in2007, D.A.S. released their first CD "Manipulation aufallen Kanlen". Dreck am Stecken has since played anumber of gigs with many more to come in the future!!
