- O Bonecas da Barra surgiu no começo de 2007, no histórico bairro da
Barra do Ceará (extremo oeste de Fortaleza), onde todos os seus
integrantes residem. O quinteto, que é formado por Glauco King
(vocais), André Ressaca e Raoni Mumia (guitarras), Felipe Sapo (baixo)
e Rafael Sobral (bateria), até o momento lançou um único EP, intitulado
Batom Navalha, pelo selo fortalezense Panela Discos, além de um
material audiovisual de nome Fogo Contra O Rei, pela Pétala Azul Filmes.

O som da banda apresenta fortes influências do rock and roll dos anos
50 e 60 (Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Beatles) e o visual é inspirado
no glam rock setentista (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, New York Dolls).
Liricamente, as bonecas não assumem nenhum compromisso, apenas falam de
seu cotidiano, amor, coisas instintivas e a decadência cada vez maior
de seu local de origem.

Adeptos do slogan rock n' roll & diversão, os seus shows têm como
características principais o exagero visual de seus integrantes, a
sonoridade enérgica e as interpretações nada tímidas. Com sua postura
debochada, não demorou muito para que a banda tivesse uma repercussão
forte na cidade, principalmente por conta de suas excessivas
performances ao vivo. Com isso, logo estariam tocando em vários eventos
do cenário musical, além de aparecerem com freqüência na televisão,
rádio, jornais e sites de música.

Atualmente, as bonecas preparam um novo EP, com previsão para o
primeiro semestre de 2009. Também estão participando de um novo projeto
audiovisual chamado Após O Incêndio, dirigido pelo publicitário Roscy
Jusça, com estréia prevista para o começo de 2010.

The BONECAS DA BARRA appeared at the beginning of 2007, in the historic
district of Barra do Ceara (extreme west of Fortaleza), where all its
members reside. The quintet, which is formed by Glauco King (vocals),
André Ressaca and Raoni Mumia (guitars), Felipe Sapo (bass) and Rafael
Sobral (drums), so far launched one EP, entitled BATOM NAVALHA
(pocket-knife), the record of Fortaleza Panela discs, and an
audiovisual material FOGO CONTRA O REI (Fire on Behalf of King), by
Pétala Azul Films.

The sound of the band shows strong influences of rock and roll of the
50 and 60 (Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Beatles) and the visual is
inspired by seventies glam rock (David Bowie, Iggy Pop, New York
Dolls). Lyrical, the dolls do not assume any commitment, only talk of
their daily life, love, decay and instinctive things growing in their
place of origin.

People of the slogan rock n 'roll & fun, their concerts are the
main features as visual exaggeration of its members, the strong tone
and interpretations nothing timid. With his attitude debauchee, it was

Currently, the dolls prepare a new EP, with estimates for the first

called APÓS O INCÊNDIO (After The Fire), led by advertising Roscy Jusça.
